1986
Peking University Founder Group Corporation (Founder Group) is a state enterprise exclusively owned by Peking University. The predecessor of this corporation is "Beijing Science and New Technologies Inc.", which dealt with business related to computers.

1987
On 22 May, China's (also the world's) first laser typeset, whole-page output newspaper in Chinese language came into being in Beijing Economic Daily.

1989
The electronic publishing system developed by Peking University was officially manufactured and promoted. At the end of the year, the system was used by Takunpao of Hong Kong, which became the first customer of Founder Group's electronic publishing system outside Mainland China.

1990
The first "Founder Chinese Fonts Chip" was manufactured. In the same year, the distance satellite transmission system for newspaper typography was put into practice, which is the first time for China to transmit whole pages to overseas agencies in real time in the mode of typography information description.

1991
The registered trademark "Founder" began to be used. In this year, colour electronic publishing system was invented, which is the first such system in the world. The system can output a whole page with both images and text.

1992
Founder (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. was set up in Hong Kong ("Founder Hong Kong"), which is to function as Founder Group's overseas headquarter. Founder Group??s first overseas branch was set up in Canada.

1993
Hong Kong Mingpao Co. Ltd. signed contract with Founder to use its electronic publishing system. The contract secured Founder's position as the leader in the global market of Chinese language electronic publishing.

1994
In view of the demand for system composition in China, the Department of Financial System was established in Founder Group. The department deals with software development and system composition with banks as target customers. Later the business scope was extended to include circulation and OA for government organs.

1995
On 1 July, the Corporation officially took over the business of electronic publishing, system composition and computer which was formerly run by Founder Group. On 21 December, Founder Hong Kong was officially listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange. PUC Founder (MSC) Berhad was also set up in the year.

1996
Founder Japan was set up. It began to put on market electronic publishing system in the Japanese language.

1997
Founder Malaysia became one of the first to be awarded the status of "Multimedia Super Corridor" by the Malaysian government.

1998
Founder built up a strategic partnership with the leading US space information technology provider MapInfo. Founder dealt with the sales of MapInfo's products in Greater China. The Corporation sold its hardware manufacturing business in Mainland China so as to focus on software development and system composition, which had enormous potential for development and had already helped the Corporation secure a substantial market share.

1999
Founder acquired from Mexican Gold Ltd. all the issued shares of Sparkling Idea Ltd., which had been providing system composition solutions for banking and financial institutions in Mainland China. In 2004, Founder WuYou Digital Broadcasting Control System was obtained the title of 2003 National key new products.
Founder Order Bank Core Business System was awarded the certificate of "Beijing Torch Project".
Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. obtained the "National Hi-tech Enterprise Certificate".

2005:
In 2005, Founder Electronics was identified as "the National Planning Key Software Enterprise" by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Taxation.
Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. was awarded for being selected as one of "China's 100 Top Businesses in Commercial Science and Technology".

2006:
Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. was selected for three consecutive times as one of "China's Top 500 Computer Companies and Top 100 Solution Providers".
Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. was awarded the title for being selected as one of "2005-2006 Top Three Superior Solution Providers in Financial Industry".

2007:
February, 2007 - Founder DAM (Digital Asset Management System) won the second prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award.
October, 2007, Founder Electronics' first self-branded hardware equipment ¡V Founder EagleCTP was released, which marks Founder Electronics formally as a professional equipment manufacturer to participate in a new round of competition in the Graphic Art market.
In August, Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. ranked the fourth on the List of "China's Top 10 Computer Solution Providers in Financial Industry".
November, 2007, Founder Electronics passed the CMMI V1.2 Maturity of Four Level ( CMMI4) assessments.
In 2007 and 2008, Founder " High-end Color Print Control Technology" won the Ministry of Education's " 2007 10 Major Scientific and Technological Progress of the Project Incentives" and the information technology industry" Significant Invention Award", and the first award of China Digital Research Center's "Digital information Scientific and Technological Award".

2008:
January, 2008, Founder Digital Audio and Video Control Technology and Research and Application won the "2007 Second prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award".
In December, Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. obtained again the "National Hi-tech Enterprise Certificate".

2009:
Mr. Liu Xiaokun, the president of Founder Electronics, was presented with the award of excellence for TOP 10 Leaders in 2009 CPCC Annual Meeting.
In February, Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of "Partner for the Core Value-added Business of HP".
In April, Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. obtained again the certificate of "Grade One Qualification for Computer Information System Integration" issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
FounderFX Chinese and English versions were globally released synchronously as China's first professional page layout software with its own intellectual property .
Founder EagleJet inkjet digital press was officially released with many patents showing the international synchronization of China's digital printing technology.
Founder ChangXiang multi-media digital publishing solution was released in Beijing China, pushing the integration of conventional newspaper publishing medias.
Founder has reached the 5000th sale of its EagleRIP in the overseas market.
